Canada shippers praise Holland
Canadian shippers recognized Holland for exceeding benchmarks for excellence with the 2009 Canadian Transportation & Logistics Shipper's Choice Award. This is the second time Holland received the honor in the award's eight-year history.
The award is the result of the Shipper's Choice Awards Survey, undertaken in partnership with the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT) and the Canadian Industrial Transportation Association (CITA), two associations with thousands of members responsible for the buying transportation.
Conducted by an independent research firm, the survey provides shippers, 3PL service providers and freight forwarders across Canada the opportunity to set benchmarks for service-provider performance on seven key performance indicators (KPIs). They then rate their top providers against the benchmarks. The seven indicators are: on-time performance, equipment and operations, information technology, competitive pricing, customer service, problem-solving and value-added services.
Two other YRC Worldwide subsidiaries, YRC and YRC Reimer, also received the Shipper's Choice Award.
