Need inventory to reach stores in Puerto Rico?

You can trust New Penn for that, too. While the recent hurricane activity in the Atlantic created service problems for other providers operating between the New Jersey port and Puerto Rico, New Penn didn't miss a beat. And since New Penn is the largest NVOCC in the Northeast, you have the assurance your shipment will be onboard on the desired sailing date, and its container will be unloaded promptly once in San Juan.

Let New Penn help keep your sales ringing this holiday season. Schedule delivery of your retail shipments at newpenn.com or call New Penn at 1-800-285-5000.

Delivering an exceptional customer experience

According to Jim O'Neill, it's a matter of attitude. "Whether it's snow storms or parking problems . . . no matter what happens . . . you keep a good attitude and you find a way to deliver."

New Penn coverage map, Driver Jim Oneil

Jim has been a professional driver for 32 years, 24 of them as a New Penn city driver working out of the Buffalo service center.

"Jim is our most senior driver in Buffalo. He helped us open the service center here in 1986," says Joe Tretter, New York area manager for the New Penn operations in Upstate New York. "It's a full day of driving; Jim gets in about 7 a.m., is on the road by 8 and back at the service center around 5 p.m."

It's a profession he enjoys, as well as one which helped Jim and his wife of 30 years raise their two sons. "And we have three and a half grandchildren . . . one's almost here!" Jim adds with a laugh.

"I enjoy being outside and having contact with our customers," says Jim. "Our customers are nice, and they enjoy our service."

Customers enjoy the service from New Penn partly because of the care people like Jim bring to the job.

"For me, the hardest part of the job is getting everything ready to leave the terminal. You need to make sure the load is properly prepared and the equipment is ready for the street."

Jim O'Neill is just one example of the people and service that keep customers coming back to New Penn.

Avoid glaring mistakes!

With the sun setting earlier, its glare when driving home from work can make it hard to see.

You could miss directional signals from oncoming cars, children outdoors enjoying the last vestiges of daylight and the changing feeding patterns of wild animals in the bright light.

For safety's sake, drive extra carefully and remember to wear good sunglasses and use your sun visor.
