What's New at Reddaway
Earlier
deliveries on standard service
All across Reddaway, we've renewed our focus on reducing
cycle time--the time it takes us to move shipments through our system--from
pickup to final delivery.
Our system-wide
initiative, named "Critical Dispatch," enables us to
make more standard service deliveries earlier in the day. Critical Dispatch
timelines have been engineered so that originating service centers are able
to move more shipments into our destination service centers sooner.
The bottom line is
our customers experience earlier delivery times and more time to work with
the shipments after they arrive. In many cases, we can even guarantee
delivery before 9 a.m., noon or within your time window, if you need the
added assurance that your shipment will arrive at a specific time in the
morning.

reduced cycle times can mean for your business. Schedule your next shipment

YRC
Worldwide announces second quarter results and Teamsters ratification of
contract changes
YRC Worldwide, parent company of Reddaway, announced its second-quarter results on
July 30.* The results felt the ongoing impact of the economic recession and
historically low shipping volumes, as well as the noise from rumors and
speculation in the market.
Since the close of
the second quarter, we continue to make progress on our comprehensive plan
to realize efficiencies from the YRC integration, restore financial
strength, and position our operating companies for future success.
"We appreciate
our customers that continue to stand firmly behind our plans and show their
support with business every day. And we are pleased that a number of new
customers have come on board to take full advantage of the largest, most
comprehensive network available today," says Bill Zollars, chairman,
president and CEO.
On August 7, an agreement with the International Brotherhood
of Teamsters was announced which enables the company to reduce its cost
structure, preserve capital and be more competitive in the marketplace.
Immediate cost savings from the modified agreement are estimated at $45
million monthly and increase to $50 million monthly in 2010.
"This vote
sends a clear message to our customers and our competitors. We are moving
forward together, and we're moving forward with confidence, delivering
uninterrupted and unparalleled service in our superior networks," said
Mike Smid, President of YRC Inc. and Chief Operations Officer of YRC
Worldwide.
